Business Development Manager

To Start: ASAP

Term: Full time

Rock Up and Pop Up is SpaceandPeople’s newest and fastest growing product and is part of our strategy to provide a completely flexible range of services to retailers to enable them to operate successfully in an omnichannel environment. We now have a position for a Business Development Manager who is capable of reaching out and working with UK and international retail brands and further developing our Affiliate programme.

Job Description

  • To promote and sell our Rock Up and Pop Up service to major UK brands specifically in the cosmetic, jewellery and wellness sectors
  • To develop our existing affiliate network, whilst maximising further opportunities
  • Represent SpaceandPeople and attend conferences, events and trade shows to identify potential new clients and product categories
  • Specifically, target pre agreed national and international brands to promote the benefits of our services (both in UK and Germany)
  • Understand client requirements at both a strategic and tactical level to be able to offer the best solutions this includes working out a business plan and setting sales targets for the retailer if required
  • Collaborate with our marketing, sales and operations teams to ensure client expectations are met and processes are followed for a smooth transaction
  • Create business forecasts, regular trend reports and activity updates
  • Work closely with the Head of Business Development to identify and acquire new venue opportunities
  • Comply with SpaceandPeople’s Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management Systems
  • Work with marketing team to enable proliferation of success stories

Person Specification

  • Proven track record of B2B Sales
  • Experienced professional within the retail sector in a industry outlined above
  • Skilled in solution selling
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leads (e.g. CEOs, Head of Retail and Marketing Directors)
  • Ability to influence and build trust with brands
  • Understand how to work cross-functionally with our sales, operations and marketing teams
  • Strong presentation skills

Head of Rail

Based: London/From Home – with some travel

Salary Expectations: DOE

Term: Full time

Job Description

  • Strategic Direction / Venue Development
    • Developing achievable Portfolio strategies and liaising with the relevant Sales Managers to achieve this.
    • Working with the COO to identify other Train Operating Companies / Travel venues to target for the SpaceandPeople service
  • Reporting
    • Oversee contractual obligations and ensure that the terms are being adhered to by both sides
    • Monitoring station and portfolio performance against agreed targets highlighting variances both positive and negative on a monthly basis
    • Producing reports and associated analysis for station/portfolio meetings.
    • Compiling and running the Quarterly SGM meetings with NR
    • Attending monthly Senior Management meetings.
  • Station Operations/Commercial Liaison
    • Developing excellent relationships with all appropriate staff at both portfolio and station level
    • Developing a deep understanding of paperwork and logistical requirements of each portfolio.
    • Liaising with marketing, agencies and photographers to build case studies, presentations, site maps and guides.
    • Developing new opportunities for the sales team (sectors / spaces).
    • Completing station visits and presentations as required.
    • Liaising with stations and clients to provide feedback on their experiences and implementing improvements where appropriate.
  • Management
    • Managing and prioritising workload for Rail Venue Managers ensuring that the aims and objectives detailed above are delivered.

Sales Account Manager

Based: Glasgow

Reporting To: Head of Sales

Salary Expectations: £28,000 (£9,000 bonus P/A for experienced sales candidates)

Job Description

  • Sell promotional space and associated services within venues via the telephone, e-mail and face-to-face
  • Define clients’ needs and fulfil them by offering solutions to their requirements
  • Deal with a mix of new and existing customers to encourage continued spend or canvass new promoters
  • Achieve and over-achieve on personal KPIs and sales targets
  • Understand client requirements at both a strategic and a tactical level to be able to offer the best business solutions
  • Comply with SpaceandPeople’s Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management System

Person Specification

  • Previous sales experience required, preferably B2B
  • Personality with professionalism
  • Ability to learn and work within defined parameters
  • Commercially-aware, motivated and enthusiastic with an ethical and consultative approach to sales
  • IT literate
