Retail Development Manager

Based: Glasgow

Job Description

  • Working within our pop-up retail division, selling our fast-growing Rock Up and Pop Up service, which is a unique end to end service offering businesses the opportunity to retail their products in premium commercial space within the UKs leading shopping centres.
  • The role is focused on generating new clients by selling to a range of businesses including start-ups, online retailers, established high-street brands and F&B operators.
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have experience of outbound sales/leasing and canvassing, plus be willing to attend key industry events to meet with retailers.
  • We are looking for someone who strives to exceed personal sales target, whilst also working to a team strategy.
  • It is essential to be able to understand client requirements, so you can offer the best business service solution for their needs.
  • There is a requirement to build long-term relationships, so after sale care is a key element of the role, which you will be assisted with by our Customer Support Manager.
  • You must be able to prepare and present proposals to potential clients.

  • Account management experience
  • Worked within the retail sector
  • Be a strong negotiator

  • Be able to work in a fast and reactive environment
  • Be able to collaborate with other departments within the business

Sales Account Manager

Based: Glasgow

Reporting To: Head of Sales

Salary Expectations: £28,000 (£9,000 bonus P/A for experienced sales candidates)

Job Description

  • Sell promotional space and associated services within venues via the telephone, e-mail and face-to-face
  • Define clients’ needs and fulfil them by offering solutions to their requirements
  • Deal with a mix of new and existing customers to encourage continued spend or canvass new promoters
  • Achieve and over-achieve on personal KPIs and sales targets
  • Understand client requirements at both a strategic and a tactical level to be able to offer the best business solutions
  • Comply with SpaceandPeople’s Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management System

Person Specification

  • Previous sales experience required, preferably B2B
  • Personality with professionalism
  • Ability to learn and work within defined parameters
  • Commercially-aware, motivated and enthusiastic with an ethical and consultative approach to sales
  • IT literate
