Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, Linda McCartney Foods have been travelling across the UK visiting a number of venues which have included two of our Network Rail stations! As the festival season is upon us, this beloved British food brand decided to treat festival-goers to delicious some vegetarian treats before they left on their journey. The 23rd and 24th June saw Glastonbury revellers queue for some tasty samples at Paddington Station, whilst yesterday Edinburgh Waverley was bustling with those travelling to Scotland’s biggest music festival T in The Park, ready for a little snack to take on route to Strathallan.
Linda McCartney Foods pioneered the way of meat-free living to the masses, making vegetarianism more accessible, mainstream and showing the tasty options available, such as the veggie sausages which were being sampled by the commuters of Paddington and Edinburgh Waverley. The aim of this campaign was to increase engagement and generate more awareness of the brand, which was in conjunction with the hashtag #FestivalFeasts encouraging people to share their veggie experience across all social media channels.
With over 3 million vegetarians in the UK, Paddington & Edinburgh Waverley were the perfect venues to host this sampling campaign with a combined weekly footfall of 1,835,384. Linda McCartney Foods have been expanding their product ranges from vegetarian meatballs to Indian spiced lentil & chickpea vegcakes – the veggie revolution just keeps on growing!
Don’t worry if you missed this sampling campaign, we have plenty more exciting food and drink campaigns coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
