From Glasgow Flagship to Multi-Site Expansion Through Scalable Beauty Pop-Ups

Overview
Cult Scottish beauty brand VIEVE expanded its physical retail presence beyond Glasgow through a scalable programme of branded kiosk pop‑ups delivered in partnership with SpaceandPeople.
Following strong performance in Glasgow – where a temporary pop-up evolved into a permanent store – VIEVE launched it’s VIEVE Counter concept at Union Square, Aberdeen and St James Quarter, Edinburgh.
Designed for high-footfall retail environments, the compact kiosk format enabled customers in new locations to engage directly with the brand through product trial, shade matching, and one-to-one consultations. The initiative demonstrates how experiential retail can be used as a structured pathway for testing, validating, and scaling physical retail presence without the cost and commitment of permanent store rollout.
Strategy & Objectives
Developed in collaboration with SpaceandPeople, the multi‑site pop‑up programme was designed to support both brand growth and customer engagement.

Through SpaceandPeople’s Rock Up and Pop Up service, VIEVE was able to launch quickly with fully branded kiosks supported end-to-end – from location sourcing and creative input through to installation and operational delivery.
Results & Impact

With full operational support from SpaceandPeople, VIEVE was able to activate quickly, remain agile and expand into new markets without the commitment of permanent retail space
Client Perspective

“Over the past four months, we’ve collaborated with SpaceandPeople to deliver two pop‑up activations through the ‘Rock Up and Pop Up’ service. The partnership provided a seamless end‑to‑end approach, from sourcing high‑footfall locations and supporting creative design through to the installation of fully branded kiosks. It’s proven to be a smart, scalable way to engage customers and build strong brand visibility in busy, real‑world environments.”
Why This Model Works for Beauty Brands
This approach works because it removes the traditional barriers to physical retail – high capital cost, long-term commitment, and location risk, while still delivering meaningful face-to-face engagement at scale.
It enables beauty brands to:
- Enter new cities through low-risk, short-term activations
- Drive high-value product trial and consultation-led engagement
- Increase brand visibility in premium retail environments
- Scale efficiently across multiple locations using a repeatable kiosk format
