As the sixth season of Game of Thrones premieres tonight on Sky Atlantic, hundreds of commuters and GoT fans were given a special treat this morning…a string quartet orchestra playing the infamous Game of Thrones main title theme tune at various Network Rail stations across the UK. Sky Atlantic, Network Rail and The Metro teamed up to create  the ultimate Game of Thrones experience at Glasgow Central, London Victoria, Kings Cross, London Liverpool Street, Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street.

Not only did the orchestra play on a large floor graphic of the exclusive season 6 “Hall of Faces” poster, “The Westeros Gazette”, also known as The Metro newspaper was handed out to commuters as they passed by the playing string quartet. The front page of The Westeros Gazette was the beloved Jon Snow of The Night’s Watch with the headline “A Game of Uncertainty” an article filled with intensity- just like the show itself.

Inside The Westeros Gazette included the weather, pet of the day which was one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons Drogon and a job advertisement titled “Crows Wanted! The Night’s Watch Needs You”.  The fictional newspaper also reported missing persons and the series of unfortunate events faced by the Stark family.
